Thanks for the detailed info to help us troubleshoot your issue. With regards to the Number of Digits, it appears you have correctly created a 5-digit extract which is good. The reason why MT4 displays “4 digits” is because this information is obtained directly from the broker – not from your exported database. If you wish to double-check whether your back-test if using 5-digits, you can print out the variable “Digits” in your MQL code.
The other issue seems to be that your back-test is reporting “n/a” which is an indication that your exported database is not being used correctly. Please ensure that:

– You are launching MT4 via Tickstory (which you have confirmed)
– You are not connected to your broker
– You have exported the files as “read-only”

Hi diver,

Are you getting any errors when trying to run Tickstory, or does it simply not come up? Please also check Task Manager to see if the application has started but is not showing.

Do you have any firewalls running on your server?

Hi mirusev,

When you click the Facebook ‘Like’ button, a popup should appear asking you to log in to Facebook. On that popup, you will need to select the check box to “Keep me logged in”. This will allow Tickstory to recognise that you have liked the Facebook page and enable the extra features.

The features should be enabled when you click ‘Like’ – if not please restart Tickstory and it should be picked up.

Good to know that you’ve solved your problem 🙂

The only thing to note here is that when you export data to MT4, it will clear the data that you previously exported. You will only have the data from your latest export – so as you found out, downloading and exporting all the history again will solve this.

Hi Mirusev,

To enable the data editor you need to click on the Facebook ‘like’ button in the top right of the application. Once you do, this feature will enable itself.

The warning is just a notification that this feature is not officially supported and could potentially stop working in future releases of MT4. Once you click OK on the warning, Tickstory will try to launch MT4.

Please give this a go and let us know if you have any further problems.

Could you please try to specify the output filename in the EA settings? It is likely that the brackets that are in the filename are causing a problem.

Hi porboy,

Tickstory v0.9 currently does not support Metatrader build 500. so you will have to use an older build of Metatrader for now. We currently don’t have an ETA for when build 500 support will be done – but we will send an update if its available.
