Hi Hypernics,

Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. We have identified the problem – it is specifically related to the fact that you are mapping the symbol (i.e. XAUUSD->XAUUSD.arm) which causes the system to take default values for that symbol (i.e. 5 digits, etc). A fix has been made and will be available as soon as possible.

In the mean-time, the workaround is to use the MT4 Editor to correct the values.

Hi Tony,

To become a friend, start up Tickstory and in the top-right hand side of the application you will see a ‘Like’ button. If you click on it, it will prompt you for your Facebook login. Once you have provided your details and made sure you clicked on the ‘Keep me logged in’ button, Tickstory will automatically recognise you as a friend.

Thank you for your feedback.
With regard to your 8GB FXT file, yes, there is a MT4 limitation you will come across that only allows you to back-test the first 2gb. Some of the options you have are discussed in this topic:

Regarding your error, just make sure you are able to test a small period first (say 1 month) and go from there. There are a couple of discussions about the “no data for testing” error on the forum that might help you resolve if you are still having this problem.

Could you please start a new thread with the details of your spread issue if you need further assistance on this. If the zero divide error is occurring on a specific EA then our ability to assist you may be limited. Ensure you try a different EA to see if its the data causing the issue or the EA. Perhaps the issue is related to your locked files?

For your locked file, try the utility below to see whether you can find what is locking your files:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/opened_files_view.html

Often you can rename the file even though there may be locked for reading and writing.

You didn’t select a zero spread by any chance, did you? 😉 If it’s your EA reporting this error then perhaps it doesn’t handle the spread value you used?

Included in this version is the much requested support for launching Metatrader Build 500+ which is available as an early release for our friends (you can click on the Facebook ‘Like’ button if you would like to become a friend!). The MT Build 500+ launcher will be available to all users in the next release of Tickstory.
