Hi Tony,
If you wish to compare the rows of your CSV export vs Tickstory, you can use the ‘Export to File’ option.

in reply to: MT4 Build 500 files #19026Hi John,

in reply to: Export Ticks to CSV #19042Hi Graham,
The reason why you are seeing the incorrect time-stamp for tick data is most likely because you are using the incorrect “time stamp” token.
{BarBeginTime} is specifically used to output the begin time of the candle, and what you are after is the {Timestamp} of the tick. Please consult the help topic here for further details:
http://www.tickstory.com/help/tickstorylite/special_tokens_for_custom_form.htm
If you would like us to have a pre-defined value for ForexTester, please let us know the format and we can include it in the next release.
Regards.

in reply to: v0.9 Released! #18881Hi render,
Do you happen to have any popup blockers installed? Is Javascript enabled on your web-browser settings?
Another user has reported that having Chrome as their default browser caused some issues. Can you please follow-up in this topic as it will possibly assist other users:
Thanks.
in reply to: Export of MT4 Symbol Properties #18971Hi d4menace,
Many thanks for the additional info. We are in the process of seeing whether we can reproduce your issue. Couple more questions that will assist:
– Can please confirm that it stops on a “standard” EA such as the “MACD Sample” provided with MT4?
– Is there a particular date range we can use where you know the back-test will stop? Ideally, we need the shortest period required to reproduce the error (a few days would be the best).Regarding point 3), Dukascopy data only has 3 decimal points for metals, so not sure where you are seeing more?
Regarding point 4), could you please download the MT4 Build 432 from here:
http://www.tickstory.com/files/MetaTrader432.7z
This Metatrader installation will not automatically update as it does not connect to any broker. If you could try this, it would narrow down the issue further.
We will get back to you if we find out further information.
Thanks again.
in reply to: v0.9 Released! #18874Hi thomas,

in reply to: 6 years backtest ends after 2 years and 5 months #19025Hi experienced_tester,
Sounds like you are coming across the limitation that MT4 has with FXT files being larger than 2GB..
These posts should assist you:viewtopic.php?f=4&t=176
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=202The reason why you could test longer periods before is because you were not using tick data which obviously is much more voluminous.
Hope this helps.
in reply to: FXT Sizing #19022Hi Tony,
Did you happen to select “filter duplicate ticks” or other relevant option?
Thanks.
in reply to: Export of MT4 Symbol Properties #18969Hi d4menance,
Could you please assist us by providing more details such as:
1) Are you changing any values when you edit the data?
2) Do you get the problem when using the Tickstory launcher rather than Birt’s TDS?
3) What is the symbol you are trying this on along with date range?
4) Have you tried using the standard MT4 Build 432 to see if you get the same problem?Any other information you think might be relevant would help as well.
Thanks for your assistance.
in reply to: Export of MT4 Symbol Properties #18967Hi d4amenace,
Do you get the zero divide error only after editing the FXT file or before as well?
We will try to release a fix asap, however would like to make sure that are no other related issues.
Thanks.
in reply to: 0.9.1.0 cant run mt4 build 509? #18982Hi adibi83,
Could you please tell us if the “star” icon in the top-right is gold? Does it acknowledge you’re a friend when you click on it? If not, the most likely issue is that you did not click the ‘Keep me logged in’ check-box when logging in. Of course, you should also be clicking on the ‘Like’ button at the top-right of the application.
Also, once you have pressed ‘Like’ please restart the application before trying the launcher again.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue.
Jolrael – thanks for letting us know you solved the issue!
Thanks.
in reply to: Error on launch #19020Hi Darnoc,
Thanks for your report. Could you please let us know what version of Windows and Internet Explorer you have? We haven’t made any changes related to this between v0.9 and v0.9.1, although if you could try roll-back to the previous version and see if the problem still occurs, this could help narrow down the issue. You can download the previous version here: thttp://www.tickstory.com/files/tickstorylite_setup.0.9.zip
Thanks.
in reply to: 0.9.1.0 cant run mt4 build 509? #18979Hi Jolrael,
The launcher has been tested on Build 509. From the error message you have posted, it looks like you have not been recognised as a ‘friend’ which is why the launcher is not working. If you have already pressed the ‘Like’ button, please restart the application and try again.
Thanks.
in reply to: Too big FXT? #18958Hi John,
Yes, typically what occurs is that MT4 back-tester silently stops when it can’t process any more data. Perhaps the “very” large files yield the “no data” error.
Regards.
