Thanks for the feedback, Ralf – all credit to PipDigga for his German expertise 😉

    Hi Winterdragon,

The most typical cause of not seeing 99% modelling quality is that you have not launched your Metatrader via Tickstory.
The other things to check are:

    • Have you accidentally exported to a different directory than you are launching from?
    • Are you back-testing a symbol that should be mapped? For example, is your MT4 using “EURUSDm” rather than “EURUSD”? (Consult the manual for further details on how to do this)

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Exporting to Forex Tester is now supported in v0.9.2. We also added support for Forexsb (http://www.forexsb.com).

    Regards.

    Hi Gooly,

That’s correct – the total bar volume is a sum of all the ticks within the bar, so iVolume(Symbol(),PERIOD_M5,1) should return the total volume for that bar. As for the intra-bar calculation, I am not sure how MT4 handles this and whether it is a cumulative value of the individual tick volumes (which Tickstory exports). If you have further results on this it would be good to know.

    Thanks.

    Hi Almasseri,

Please provide full details of the “problem” you are having so we can assist. This ideally should include screenshots and full error messages.

    Thanks.

    Hi all,

v0.9.2 has just been released to address the above two issues. That is:

•[TICKLITE-114] MT4 Export: Export uses incorrect MT4 Info when exporting a mapped symbol.
•[TICKLITE-116] MT4 Editor: Editing FXT file caused crashes/zero-divide errors.

Thanks for your assistance in identifying and reporting the issue.

•[TICKLITE-120] File export: Add new pre-defined format to export bar data to Forex SB.

    Improvements
    •[TICKLITE-117] Improved German language translation.

    Fixes
•[TICKLITE-114] MT4 Export: Export uses incorrect MT4 Info when exporting a mapped symbol.
•[TICKLITE-115] Application fails to start due to embedded web-browser exception on some systems.
•[TICKLITE-116] MT4 Editor: Editing FXT file caused crashes/zero-divide errors.

    Happy back-testing!

    Hi Gooly,

A Google search suggests this link:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Gooly,

I suggest you try a program such as “Who Lock Me” to determine what has your files open on your USB drive. If Tickstory has been exited then it cannot have a lock on your files.

    Regards.

    Hi Gooly,

Tickstory outputs the sum of bid and ask volumes (expressed in millions) in the MT4 export.

    Hope this helps.

Hi d4menance, if you are having issues other that described in this topic:

    viewtopic.php?f=4&t=203

May I suggest that you log an issue report in the trouble-shooting section if you want assistance.
The issue listed in the above post related specifically to mapped symbols and will be addressed shortly.

    in reply to: Weekend #19053

    Hi Ralf,

We tested this again and there is no issue. As you seemed to have found, leaving the ‘Include weekends’ unchecked will omit the weekend bars. Checking it will create flat bars for the weekend.

    Regards.
