    Nice work Tickstory team!

I think indexes and commodities open a wide range of possibilities to this tool.

I am not getting 99.90% backtests in DAX index though. juts 40% and 25%. I am using Admiral Markets broker with 4 digit and the name of the index is [DAX3]. Do you know how could I get better results?

    Thanks in advance!
    Regards

Hi Radu – great to hear! Thanks as always for your feedback.

Hi Zerit0, You will need to use the ‘Maps To’ field to ensure the data is mapped accordingly to your MT4 symbol name. You can find an example of how to do this here:

    viewtopic.php?f=4&t=435&p=1919

and you can also consult the user manual for further information.

    Regards.

    Hi Tickstory,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I populated the Map to field as [DAX30] but at the time of running the tester I receive a message:

    “Robot name:Tester cannot calculate prices”

I supposed It was something related to the currency and I changed it in the Metatrader Info tab –> Currency, I probed with both EUR and USD and it is still rising this error.

Do you know how to solve this?

Thanks a lot in advance and for your support in the forum 😉

If you have any further information about this error, appreciate if you could let us know!

    Thanks.

    WTI-data wrong ?

After downloading the wti data and backtesting it I got some strange results.
The MT4 is working with prices around 1010-1020, which is obviously not correct.
Has anybody an idea what is going wrong there ?

    Thanks for your support- Thomas.

    Hi Zerit0,

I also cannot backtest DAX30 data on the 1minute-timeframe.
But it works very well on the timeframes above. In my view the MT4 cannot
handle a backtest when there is 0-data as it happens sometimes on the 1minute-chart.

    Hi Writegvf,

Could you please download and try the updated version here:

    http://www.tickstory.com/files/tickstorylite_setup.1.5.1.zip

It seems that (specifically) the WTI Light Crude was out by a factor of 10.

Please let us know how you go – if all is well, the fix will be available to the general public shortly.

    Thanks.

    HI tickstory,
thanks for your reply and also for your wonderful product- I never will miss this important tool for traders !

The wti-data is now OK- but my strategy-tester cannot work with it, I do not understand why wti-backtesting is not working at the moment-
next week I will try again and give a short reply- Thomas.

Still not working with WTI-data; the error-message is as follows:

2014.06.04 18:44:57.066 Tester: exchange rate cannot be calculated

I have downloaded the data with c.rate set to “1” as you mentioned in the viewtopic from above.

    Hi Triton,

Can you please post more detail about how it “doesnt work”? Are you getting an error when launching from Tickstory? What MT4 build are you using exactly?

Writegvf – could you kindly follow up your post in the mentioned thread as others may be able to assist. Please let us know also whether you also get the issue for the DAX as this should isolate the issue.

    Thanks.
