in reply to: H1 and H4 problem on chart #19867Hi,
The issue with incorrect bar opening times is being tracked here:
We expect to have a fix shortly.
Thanks.
in reply to: Problems in ‘Open Prices’ Mode #19876Hi Tickroll,
Tickstory does not support the use of ‘Open prices’ – only the ‘Every tick’ model. A separate FXT file is required for using the ‘Open Price’ mode. MT4 is automatically generating the file using whatever settings are within the MT4 terminal.
Regards.
in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19853Hi Trader2384,
Thanks – those specific dates seem to yield the issue. We are looking at the issue and hope to provide a fix shortly.
Regards.
(P.S – this post will be moved to the “bugs & issues” section).
in reply to: Weekend Data #19874Hi Tickroll,
The ‘filter weekend’ option will filter all tick data that occurs after Friday 22:00 hrs (UTC) and before Sunday 21:00hrs (UTC). It will then perform the time-shift to the selected time-zone and create bar data from this. This means that if the converted times fall between Monday 00:00-23:59hrs, then yes, everything will be seen on that bar.
Hope this helps.
in reply to: Tickstory and commission #19868Hi Montorog,
Thanks for taking the time to report the issue. We have confirmed that the items you mentioned are an issue and currently working on the fixes. We will let you know when they are available.
Regards.
in reply to: Filter symbols list #19875Hi Bertdf,
Many thanks for your feedback. We have the stock filter feature on our todo list for the next major update.
Kind regards.
in reply to: Multiple Instrument EA Testing #19838Thanks, Itinerant. Please do try the MT4 Export option – it should make life a lot easier. If you are having any issues let us know.
in reply to: bad ticks in MT4 #19821Hi,
Yes, we’re working on providing filters so this sort of data cleansing is possible. Eventually we will provide a programming API to do this, however is we have a consensus on “must have” functionality, we can provide this in the earlier releases. If you have specific criteria which you would like to enter (such as “filter all prices above x%”), then please let us know the details.
Thanks.
in reply to: v1.3 Released! #19811Hi 4EverMaAT,
1) The latest official release link is always on the main Tickstory page.
2) You’re right – for those people using the RC versions, there is no way to know if they have the “absolute” latest. We’ll work on something to address this going forward. In the mean-time , please download the latest release from the Tickstory home page.Thanks.
in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19851Hi Trader2384,
We have exported the day you highlighted and it still cannot reproduce the problem (it is also a little hard to tell from the screenshots which bar has been highlighted). Can you please check the MT4 History Center to confirm that the bar you are seeing actually exists in the data? If so, could you please let us know the exact time range you have exported and if you have used any time-shifts. It could be that the issue is specific to the time at which the first bar is exported.
Thanks.
in reply to: Multiple Instrument EA Testing #19835Hi Itinerant,
That’s interesting to know. So while testing say EURUSD, you can use a call like:
iMA(“USDJPY”,0,13,8,MODE_SMMA,PRICE_MEDIAN,0);
and it will calculate the MA for USDJPY?
Any reason why you are not using the Tickstory ‘MT4 Export’ feature rather than importing a CSV?
Thanks.
in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19849Hi Trader2384,
We have tried a basic MT4 export for EURUSD and the 4hr bars start from 00:00 hours.
Please provide further details for us to reproduce the issue such as the type of export (File? MT4?), the symbol and date range.Thank you.
in reply to: TestGenerator: deficient data #19722Hi Trader2384,
The latest version of Tickstory should handle both MT4 file formats (it automatically detects which MT4 Build you have although you can also manually select it on the export screen).
Regards.
in reply to: Need to launch mt4 through Tickstory? #19796Thanks for the feedback, Trader2384. This item is still on the open issues list so hopefully we’ll find a resolution soon.
