It is possible to uninstall Windows 8.1, but I was having a problem doing so, so I just did a clean install of Windows 8, then upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and the installation had no problems. Everything worked perfectly. It may have worked with Windows 8 basic, but the Pro has additional permissions already included which bypass some of the Permission requirements with Windows 8 basic and 8.1. Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for the suggestion. I know it is a permission issue. There is a problem with Windows 8.1. I am planning on removing the update back to Windows 8, and then upgrading to Pro. A lot of software has issues with 8.1 still. Best regards.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I appreciate it.

I am logged on as the built-in administrator, but I tried what you suggested also, and it brings up another error “A referral was returned from the server.”

If you have any other suggestions, please advise.
