The Filter Duplicate tick” option is off by default as it could affect some scalping strategies. As such, we decided it’s best for this option to be intentionally selected by the user if they know their EA does not need this extra data.
Thanks for the info. However, for example in the case of EURUSD the file size of the exported FXT is so much bigger, and maybe it’s not fortunate to use “off” as default, because the testable period will be limited because of the FXT file size. The limit is about 4 gigabytes, am I right?
in reply to: v1.4 Released! #19897Thank you, guys!
Hungarian translation of the post.
One question: why “Filter duplicate ticks” is not set by default?

I am 100% sure of this. I installed a fresh copy of Excel Markets outside of the Program files folder. TickLite 1.3 could not detect the installation folder.
What I did as a workaround is manually navigated to the “[C:[Windows User]AppDataRoamingMetaQuotesTerminalFE4723A6C29xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This takes some extra time. And to check to make sure you have the correct folder, MQ at least created a “origins.txt” you can use to see which broker and installationfolder the “FE4723A6C29xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ” belongs to.
It appeared to detect the folder ok after that. But then the test came to launch the mt4. I got this error: Mt4 launch issue. See screenshot.
+1 for this, 4EverMaAt is right.
The problem appears when the MT4 installed outside Program Files folder, and UAC is turned on. If UAC is turned off, the location of the installation path is not relevant.

You will need to use the /portable flag to ensure all data is stored in the MT4 directory. You will also need to make sure your MT4 installation is not under “Program Files” folder since Windows will prevent data from being written here.
This is no longer is the case in my opinion. The whole AppDataRoaming stuff seems to be working, and we do not need the ability to write into the installation directory (no matter if it’s in Program Files, or elsewhere)

You did not updated the strings I mentioned before. Could you do that in the next version? Thanks!

As always, thanks for your feedback!
You’re welcome. If you have more untranslated strings, send them to me!
in reply to: v1.0 Released! #19258Hello Tickstory,
Congratulations for the new version!

I also have some strings, which are currently English in the new Chart function. When you visualizing a chart:
– when you click on the Chart wizard for the first time, the chart has a text “Title” which should be “Cím”.
– when you click with right mouse button, there are some strings:Copy -> Másolás
Image copied to clipboard -> A kép a vágólapra került!
Save Image As -> Kép mentése
Page Setup -> Oldalbeállítás
Print -> Nyomtatás
Show Point Values -> Árfolyamértékek mutatása
Un-Zoom -> Kicsinyítés
Undo All Zoom/Pan -> Minden nagyítás visszavonása
Set Scale to Default -> Arány visszaállításaThank you!

Tried it but the problem persists. After I hit the Like button, the Tickstory window simply freezes for a moment, then unfreezes, yet no like is credited and no MT4 build 500+ is accessible (same old unsupported error window pops up upon hitting F8).
Do you have Internet Explorer enabled on your Windows? You don’t have to use it for browsing, but TickStory Lite uses IE engine. After the click a popup window should appear, with the Facebook login screen.

I still cannot run the latest version of Tickstory with MT4 build 509 despite claims of it supporting build 500+.
Please read the previous post carefully! You have to “Like” TickStory, and the 500+ launcher will be available then. Click here

Thanks very much, i already have it. Where can i get the MT4 Data Editor?
It’s in Tools-> MT4 Data Editor. You could access this function after having pressed the Like button.
@musicman wrote:
It would be very useful for me because i’m having a problem with tickdata. The only pair that works for me it’s EURUSD. With the other ones i get this error:
I guess you should check your account leverage, and other broker conditions. Have you used TickStoryInfo expert to export your broker’s settings? If not, check out the help tab on Export to MT4 panel or click here!
