in reply to: Converting symbol name #20674
I think I have managed to convert the name by using “Map to” in Metatrader info tab, in symbol properties
BUT
I still have a problem using this data since I get 2 errors in the log file when running a backtest:
1. “tester cannot calculate prices“
and
2. “Tester: exchange rate cannot be calculated”.Please help.
in reply to: Convert tickdata to 1 minute bars #20186I know the reason for that:
No volume data.
Without volume data, MT4 can’t produce the real movement inside each bar. This data is not useful.
in reply to: Convert tickdata to 1 minute bars #20185Does anyone believe this is a true data?
http://www.mql5.com/en/charts/2000637/eurusd-m1-alpari-uk-ltdin reply to: Convert tickdata to 1 minute bars #20184I read this:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=352&p=1458&hilit=1+minute&sid=f96220ed7f89ff78e2b6a6ef79de52c4#p1458
and there is nothing to do with it.
1 minute bars does not look like true bars.
Almost every bar opens in a gap.
It’s not a useful data at all.
Not to mention tickdata.
This data has nothing to do with forex. You’re guessing for solutions.
you don’t solve the problems.I see that after a few moments, the account is no longer in “overwrite prevention / fixed spread” mode.
It is in a regular mode like any account.
Is that ok?Build 646(30.4.2014)
It seems it updated 2 days ago from 625.I unchecked read-only check box.
No cahnge.
Still the same problem.Of course I did.
in reply to: backtest not complete #18752Since each file size is >4gb in my FXT folder and I need to reduce the size of each file – Should I redownload/export from the begining or is there a way to reduce the size of each file by using shorter period of data?
I.e: I downloaded with TS Lite data from 1.1.2005 up to date. Can I use this data from say 1.1.2008, thus reduce fxt file size, or should I set it from the begining and re-download again? -
