Using the Advanced Tester

The Advanced Tester for Metatrader 4* (or ATM as we like to refer to it in short) is designed to augment the existing back-testing capabilities of the Metatrader 4 terminal. This includes:

Allowing you to perform 99.9% modelling quality tests with real tick data (provided by Tickstory).

Giving users instant, granular control over settings for your back-test such as Leverage, Commissions and Margin details.

Allowing users to perform tests with variable spread.

The ability to apply slippage in the back-test, which gives a more realistic simulation of real-world trading conditions.

Allowing multiple instances of Metatrader 4 to be run at the same time, enhancing parallel testing.

Performing walk-forward analysis of your Metatrader strategies.

You can invoke the Advanced Tester for Metatrader 4 (aka ATM) by pressing the Launch button in Tickstory. The application is also available via the Windows Start menu.
