    Hi Lenny,

We’ve tested Build 840 and everything is working correctly. Ensure you have applied your v1.6 license before attempting to launch MT4.

    Regards.

    Hi Testmenow,

Tickstory always uses the raw tick data to construct all the bar chart time-frames. If you are seeing different charts than for the same range you have exported, make sure you have not connected to your broker. If you connect to your broker, it will attempt a back-fill and potentially overwrite the historical chart data that you exported from Tickstory. You can prevent connection to your broker by cancelling at the login prompt.

If you are simply looking at charts then your current version of Tickstory should be fine. If you wish to back-test with the latest MT4 Build then yes, you will need to upgrade to v1.6.

    Hope this helps.

Hi – could you please check to make sure the FXT file is marked as “read-only” in Windows Explorer. Also, have you successfully launched your Metatrader terminal via Tickstory’s launcher (i.e. by pressing F8 or selecting the Launch option)?
It appears that your FXT file has been overwritten which usually is caused by the above-mentioned.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Check the following:

    1) Export the data via Tickstory. Note the “server” you export to. Some terminals have both a ‘Demo’ and ‘Live’ server and depending which is selected, the data will be exported to the respective location. Check that the data exists within the respective MT4 HST & FXT folders.
    2) Start up MT4 – don’t allow the terminal to connect to the broker. Note the server you are connecting to.
    3) In MT4, check the history center to ensure the data exists for the date range you exported. Also go to File->Open Data Folder and double-check that the data exists and that it corresponds to the folder you exported to.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Muplayer,

According to your screenshot, the following page seems to describe the error a bit further:

    http://community.norton.com/en/forums/clarification-wsreputation1-detection

We are not sure what could be causing this. We have lodged a dispute with Norton’s AV to hopefully have this resolved. If you have any concerns, you should be able to run this in a sandbox and/or without administrator privileges.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ekke,

Thanks for your feedback & support! We’ve noted all the feedback that we’ve been getting and incremental updates is certainly high on the list. We plan to make this feature available in the next major update.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Muplayer,

You will need to ensure that your terminal does not connect to your broker otherwise historical data can be overwritten. One way to do this is to not login when prompted. We recommend you keep a separate terminal specifically for back-testing so you don’t affect your live setup.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Martin,

I can see for the date you mention that there is some data at night. On other days, however, the data starts correctly in the morning.
Unfortunately I can’t comment on why this is. Sometimes Dukascopy refreshes their data and may correct this later on. You can try asking a question to their online support.
FYI, there is some further information about the instrument trading hours here:

    https://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/english/cfd/range-of-markets/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Martin,

All our data is sourced as-is from Dukascopy (dukascopy.com) who provide their data in UTC.

    Hope this helps.
