Excel to MT4 (realtime data feed)

Hi,

In India, most of the data vendors provide the data in Metastock/Amibroker format at reasonable price. Few of them providing the MT4 data at high price, which will not match our Indian trading terminal softwares. So using MT in Indian market is least.

The Trading Terminal software like TradeTiger, Omnesys Nest, Omnesys Now, Odien diet,….. having an option “Link to Excel” which will update the realtime data in Excel.

For Amibroker
With this option, Yusufi Bharmal had created Nest2Ami without using Excel he straightly fetch data from Nest Trading Terminal to Amibroker with backfill. It’s a good software, which exactly match the trading terminal data.

For MT4
With the same concept Ramdas had created Excel to MT4. It’s working, but sometime fails. I don’t know why.

If Tickstory added this concept it will be nice, then in Indian Market people will start to use MT4.

Hi John,

Thanks for the information – this sounds like a great idea and we will look into it further. Do you have any further information that might assist us such as the links to the various software terminals? Is it specifically real-time information that people are after or do they need historical data as well? As far as languages go, are these software products all in English or would it be necessary to translate to Hindi?

Unfortunately in India, we can’t create demo account. So to have an account and to access both software zerodha is correct.

Hi,

We can also get historical data in Nest.

In India the trading software which we are using is in English only. So no need for Translating to Hindi.

Hi John,

Many thanks for the comprehensive information. Given that it seems that it would take some time/effort to pursue this functionality, we’ll need to gauge what sort of numbers of people would be interested in such a feature. From what I understand, data is only available to those with active trading accounts on each of these systems?
