in reply to: v1.6 Released! #20756
Hi
Good news.
How about adding a feature to allow incremental exporting of data.
This will be very beneficial. Exporting always takes quite some time
and even more so if you deal with several currency pairs.
Just a thought. Thanks for all the hard work you put in
and if I have to pay in future I will not complain, promise.cheers

in reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20715Hi
I cannot stress enough how much I like the way you response. Thank you.
Also thank you for the new link.
I have solved my problem by patching together a (build 765) which I found installed on
one of my PCs. I think I sorted out how this whole thing hangs together.
Anyway the (765) works now and I get all the results as usual. Is the only way to block updates by denying SYSTEM access to the WebInstall folder?
And finally I am looking forward towards your next release.Have a good weekend
cheers
ekkein reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20713Hi
Thanks for coming back.
Thanks also for the link, but it seems to be broken. Only points to your home site.
Can you have a look at it please.
I would really appreciate a stand alone build 765.
I have a 765 terminal.exe file but just replacing it in the MT4 (build 830) file set
does not solve the problem. Tried it already. Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to me and listening to my problems.
It really is appreciated.regards
ekkein reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20708Hi
Thanks for replying to my post.
Yes, I have checked all of that. Check the above images. The T:Global Prime Folder is
the location of the MT4 installation and starting MT4 manually from the root T:Global Primeterminal.exe
starts up normally.
Since build 830 Tickstory has a problen seeing the installation at all.
I have in the meantime used a backup (build 825) of my previous installation with goes right back to
the first problem in my series of posts.
I can model but it looks as if the results are different to what I had when all was working fine (build 725).
I get n/a but with a green band in the Report.
I attached a snapshot for you .I installed all of it a couple of times over but with no luck.
Finally I have a suggestion which you can maybe implement.
Is it possible to launch MT4 from Ticklite with the noupgrade switch installed?
Not sure if this is the correct wording but there is a switch around that stops
this sneaking in of unwanted upgrades.
Do you know of a complete 725 installation that I can download?
I could not find one.thanks and regards
ekkein reply to: Backtesting issues, mainly Modelling Quality n/a #20246Hi Armnic1
I have the same problems as you. I think now that it is the upgrade to build 830 that
screwed me around. It sneaked in when I went online for a while. I did not notice it
at first. Check that out, maybe it happened to you as well.
regards
ekkein reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20711Here we go again. More problems
I started a complete new installation of Ticklite and MT4 (build 830)
This what happens nowin reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20710Me again, hi
Looks like the problem I am having happened after the upgrade to build 825.
Maybe you cab have a look at that.
Thanks againcheers
ekkein reply to: Apparent Launch trouble #20709Hi again.
There is some additional info on what is happening with regard to my post above. From the Journal:
2015.05.25 18:11:37.988 TestGenerator: server “Tickstory-Demo” differs from “GlobalPrime-Demo” terminal connected toNormally I would link this to incorrect setting under the File > Settings > MT4 Settings Tab.
But that is all set correctly.thanks

Ignore my post. I am an idiot. Had a late night and a foggy brain.
Sorry about the post.regards
ekkein reply to: Optimisation runs #19280Hi
Thank you all for the input, but I had already tried everything you suggest. To no avail.
I am running WIN7 64 with 8 GB of Memory, so I cannot see that to be the problem.
It doesn’t matter how many parameters I try to optimise, the result is always the same, a fat Zero.
I will tackle the problem at some later stage.cheers
ekkein reply to: Optimisation runs #19277Hi
I am still fighting with the problem of not being able to use the optimiser.
All works well when I change the run parameters one by one.
I am currently using Tickstory Lite v. 1.5.1.0 and MT4 build 745.The EA works successfully on a live account, just has a lot of parameters which I change on a weekly base
back testing with latest tick data which is rather tedious.
Other, somewhat simpler EA’s run fine on optimising.
Are there any known cases of an EA being to complicated for optimisation runs?Any enlightenment will be welcome.
Lastly, thank you for all the effort you put into Tickstory. I cannot do without it.cheers
ekkein reply to: Optimisation runs #19275Hi
Yes, the normal back test works fine. HHHH EEEE LLLL PPPPPthanks
ekkein reply to: Optimisation runs #19273Hi. Thanks for the quick reply. I rolled back to version 0.9b and get the same results . All optimisation cycles come out at zero.
I am using MT4 4.00 build 432 (the one you made available). I am totally baffled. Only change was a recent update of the Tick Data.
I have tried different versions and builds of MT4, same result. Any ideas ????thanks
