@tickstory : Thanks for that new feature !

I was able to import 2years DAX data, map it to DE.30.. which is my broker code for the DAX CFD, as well as inputing the correct symbol properties (tick, digit, size, margin…) so the charts are fine and the quality is 99.9% when backtesting

But the problem I get is my eas don’t trade during the backtest on these data (I get messages like “cannot calculate exchange rate” or “tester cannot calculate prices” or others)

2 remarks:
– on my other MT4 instance connected to my broker these ea backtests are fine (but only up to 3 month)
– I don’t have this probleme on EURUSD or other tickstory currencies

I suspect it could be wrong parameters input by me in the MetaTraderInfo tab. I attached it so you may be able to give me a clue :

@tickstory: since you’re using dukascopy DB and the have Index CFD it would be great to make it available in tickstory for download and txfer to MT4 .HST & .FXT as well so we can run 99% simulations on these. At least majors like USA500.IDX, DEU.IDX, JPN.IDX, FRA.IDX, EUR.IDX, GBR.IDX…

I downloaded a second version of mt4 build 509 from my real broker in order to use it without broker connection for backtesting while having the same symbol properties than my real broker.

I put it in a folder named MT4backtest but when I try to attach it to tickstory I get the “this does not appear to be a valid MT4 directory…” message even though there is a symbols.sel file in my MT4Backtesthistory

Would you have any idea why this isn’t working?
