well i have not looked into it. And there are so many many issues. ( like quality/legal…..all the effort for only 2-3 more symbols etc…… )
But will mention, although i am reluctant to do so with this crowd, but………..

I read they are planning to introduce an expanded CFD range, and code is there to look at…..so may be easy to include………..

This is great and thankyou for your efforts.

Wanted to ask………
what is the source? Is it possible that more will be added, for example Coffee ?
Generally is there a recommended way to add a new symbol and import a trusted data source manually?

Has it been tried but conclusion was to wait until it is done properly as results ca vary ?

I’m quite happy to be patient and accept what comes along, but was curious to look at Coffee.
Mainly because when it is charging up if can fly, but it may all be overnight gaps …..etc….

I have gone and got 10 years of data, and selected “Filter duplicate ticks” and will eventually find out the file size……….
but 5 years worth with unselected “Filter duplicate ticks” actually generated .FXT files in /history/tester that were bigger than 6GB.

So how does 4GB limitation work in here,
Is read but truncated??? cannot be read at all ????? chart bars will fill to the limit ?????

As a plan maybe –
It seems that generating all the .HST is okay, and desired for charts.
But then for .FXT – install 4 years to MT4installationA and an earlier 4 years to MT4installationB and remaining in MT4installationC.

i.e. 7GB 1 min data only chart back to 02/07/2013
but i had a setting for chart bars as 512000 and is now 2147483.647 bars
so dont yet know how much is seen and where 4GB kicks in.

Yes, is working under WINE. need to install dotnet35 sp1 after dotnet35.

I am running an old version of Wine, and dotnet was still being integrated back then.
But had success with the following steps –
dotnet2, dotnet35, dotnet35sp1, which goes and gets all earlier service packs.

Yes, successfully exported and started MT4 from TickStory and quality is ‘99.9’. Both for ‘all data’ and ‘between two dates’ backtesting.

Then if start MT4 by itself the quality is ‘n/a’.

So ……. what is being done here, what is the difference? How do you start MT4 manually and achieve the same thing?
