in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19856
is that related to the dukascopy data source?
in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19852dates exported: 2012.sep.02 to 2013.sep.01
on closer look, the issue is only with the H4 chart where the candles open at one of the following times: 1:00, 5:00, 9:00, 13:00, 17:00, 21:00. Same offset on other dates as well. I don’t remember seeing any offset option during the download process and all of the timeframes were downloaded with the same settings/at the same time.in reply to: D1/H4 mismatch #19850file export type: MT4

in reply to: Remote Support (Please) #19843for example, when I run a test on tickstory data it hangs on the attached template for a while (a minute or so) before loading the actual tester.tpl file:

Hi Trader2345,
We have tried the following zipped directory structure and it seems to work fine for us even after a restart:
http://www.tickstory.com/files/MetaTrader 509 Full.zip
If that still updates automatically, check our some discussions on the some of the other MT4 forums – the suggestion is to rename/protect the C:ProgramDataMetaQuotesWebInstall directory .
Also note that the latest RC2 to support Build 600+ is now available.
Thanks.
Do I need to use a previous version of Tickstory alongside Metatrader 509 or will the current release work as long as I download the older data files? If previous version of Tickstory is required, where would this be available? Thank you 🙂
in reply to: Need to launch mt4 through Tickstory? #19795I tried deleting/re-generating the files to no avail. Interestingly, it used to check the read-only flag (perhaps before the 600+ update). Not a problem, thanks for checking it out 🙂
in reply to: Need to launch mt4 through Tickstory? #19793fxt files are not being set to “read-only” when downloaded even though “make fxt files read-only” is checked in mt4 export window. Not a big deal but I just want to make sure this is a bug and not a problem with my tickstory setup.

in reply to: Need to launch mt4 through Tickstory? #19790ok, I understand thanks. A related question: when I download the tickstory data, I checked the box “make fxt read only” but after they are downloaded why is the read only box unchecked?
in reply to: Cross-Timeframe Calls #19788looks like that solved the issue- thank you!
in reply to: Cross-Timeframe Calls #19786thanks, that’s good to know. I did that but the date range listed is shorter than the date range that I downloaded in tickstory. For example, I downloaded 15-minute and 60-minute data for EURUSD from 2003.08.18 through 2014.02.01 and the tickstory window as well as 9Gb file sizes confirms this. However, in mt4 offline data it shows same start date from 2003.08.18 but earlier end date to 2008.01.18. In attached screenshot, chart goes until 2008.08.01, tester template does not load and journal says “no data for testing”. Any ideas? Thanks 🙂
in reply to: TestGenerator: deficient data #19720Thank you 🙂
in reply to: TestGenerator: deficient data #19718thanks, I understand how to install build 509 but whenever I do so it updates to build 604 automatically even if I don’t login to a broker.
in reply to: TestGenerator: deficient data #19716thank you. How do I run an older build without it automatically upgrading to v. 600? When I launch the mt4 terminal from an older build it automatically updates even without logging into the broker’s server.
in reply to: TestGenerator: deficient data #19715Ok, I tried with months and years of data but same error. I noticed that mt4 had upgraded to the new version so could this be related (before the upgrade, I wasn’t haven’t this problem)?
