Hi
I installed Net framwork 3.5 SP1 on my computer. My computer using win 10. But such faulty. Please help me.Hi Vohanh,
Your screenshot shows you have Tickstory running correctly so there is no problem with your .NET installation. The error you are getting is referred to in the FAQ as follows:
Q. I am getting the error “Access to the path denied” when exporting.
A. This is caused by Windows denying Tickstory access to the folder where it needs to store its downloaded tick data. To resolve this, go to File->Settings and specify a “Dukascopy Store Folder” that has general write permissions. For example, create a folder called “Tickdata” in your Documents and then specify C:UserDocumentsTickdata as the storage folder location.Hope this resolves the issue.
I uninstalled MT4 and then reinstalled. When I use the program, the display Tickstory bulletin board as image. Please help me. Thank you.
Hi Vohanh,
Please run your MT4 once and log into the demo account once. This will download necessary information from the broker.
After this, Tickstory should locate the information it is looking for to validate the folder.Regards.
I’ve put EA in folder “File / Open data folder / MQL4 / Experts” but when opened MT4 is not seen EA. When looking to the folder “File / open data folder / MQL4 / Experts” I do not see EA anymore. Please help me.
Hi Vohanh,
In Tickstory, select any instrument and “Export to MT4”. In the “Help” tab you will see a “Deploy” button which will automatically install the Tickstory EA. Press it and once the EA has been deployed, restart your MT4. You should then see “TickstoryInfoExpert” listed in your EAs.
Hope this helps.
I’ve followed your instructions but I still do not see EA
Hi Vohanh,
Perhaps you can show some screenshots of your configuration including:
1) Your Tickstory MT4 Settings (In Tickstory, select File->Settings->MT4 Settings).
2) Your Metatrader Experts Folder (In MT4, select File->Open Data folder and then double-click on “MQL” and then”‘Experts”).
3) Your MT4 Terminal, including the contents of the Navigation window showing the “Experts” you have installed. If you are testing EAs, it is the same procedure to install the TickstoryInfoExpert as it is to install any other EA. Are you able to confirm you have been able to install another EA to your MT4 installation without any issue?
Thanks.
I’ve put EA in folder ” File-> Open Data folder and then double-click on “MQL” and then “” Experts “. When I restart to MT4, I do not see EA in that directory.
Hi Vohanh,
I’m not sure what you are looking for, however in your screenshot you clearly have “TickstoryInfoExpert” visible in your Metatrader ‘Navigator’ which means everything is working fine. Simply drag the TickstoryInfoExpert icon onto a live chart and this will activate it.
Regards.
I’ve copied EA on the folder: File-> Open Data folder and then double-click on “MQL” and then “‘Experts'”. When I rebooted MT4, in that directory has no EA, in window Navigation no EA which I copied into.
Hi Vohanh,
Please see the attached annotated image of your screenshot. It highlights that you seem to have correctly installed TickstoryInfoExpert. The TickstoryInfoExpert.ex4 is highlighted in your screenshot of the folder and the TickstoryInfoExpert EA is highlighted in your MT4.
Thanks.
I’ve copied the EA to Experts folder (In MT4, select File->Open Data folder and then double-click on “MQL” and then”‘Experts”). After I rebooted MT4 terminal, my EA is no longer in the folder Experts. In the Navigator window does not appear my EA.
