Monthly Timeframe Missing

Post by Mansa »

Hi Tickstory Support,

I recently installed Tickstory Professional, but the Monthly (MN) timeframe is not available in the Data Export → Timeframe dropdown. I only see options up to Weekly.

Could you please confirm if Monthly data is supported and how I can enable or export it?

Thank you,
Mansa

Hi Mansa,

We've never had the monthly timeframe option as most users use shorter timeframes for their back-tests. We're just looking into it for you and hoping to have this feature in our next update.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Tickstory Team,

Thank you for the quick update and for confirming that the Monthly timeframe will be included in the next release.

I really appreciate you looking into this so promptly and adding it to the roadmap. Please let me know once the update is available, and I’ll be happy to test it on my end if needed.

Best regards,
Mansa

Hi Mansa,

Thanks for the offer to test. We've completed some preliminary testing on it already, however we will be doing some additional testing and possibly adding a few other features before the next release. If you would like to get your hands on the pre-release version, we have sent you a private message with the details. If you have any feedback, please let us know.

FYI we have added both a monthly and yearly timeframe selection in the 'File Export' box as shown in the attached screenshot. One hopefully obvious) thing to note is that you should always choose a start/end date at the start and end of the month or year (for monthly and yearly timeframes, respectively) to ensure you get a complete bar. Choosing a date outside of that will only include the OHLC data in the dates you specified.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for the update and access to the pre-release. I’ll review and provide feedback following testing.

The addition of monthly and yearly export options is appreciated, and the date parameter clarification is noted.

Best regards,
Mansa
