Backtest 1 month data using 1 year data

Hi I was exporting a 1 year data from 01/02/2020 to 12/31/2020. If I want to use only for the last 1 month can I use the backtest using the old data or I should exporting a new one with the last month data?

Hi Ezraluandre,

If you want to back-test in MT4 using the last month of that dataset, you can just select "Use date" in the Strategy Tester and specify the 'From' and 'To' dates to test with.

Thank you for your reply. According to your reply, I don't need to export new data as long the data for 1 month is in range of the whole year, is it correct?

That's correct. If the data has been exported, you can use whatever dates in-between that range for your testing.
