Impossible to backtest new EAs with no latest build support
Impossible to backtest new EAs with no latest build support
I've also discovered it's impossible to backtest new EAs with Tickstory with no compatibility with the latest MT4 build. If an EA was compiled in a build newer than the one it's being backtested in, it will render a message in the MT4 journal: "executable file is corrupted please recompile it". If one tries to recompile the EA in the older build, there will be a message in the MT4 journal about the .ex4 file unavailable for opening.
Re: Impossible to backtest new EAs with no latest build supp
Hi Render,
These problems relate to different versions of MT4.
The topic of 'executable file corrupt' already being discussed here:

and the topic of MT 500 build support here:
http://www.tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=178
Hope this helps.
