Germany30/GER30/DAX symbol

Hey, I also want to know where to find the Ger30 Symbol ? I imported tick data and launched it via tickstory (have the licensed one) but I can't see the symbol because I have the default mt4 without connected to any broker. Cant I test the symbol because I imported it it should be available? Thanks"

Hi Daniel,

If you are referring to your MT4, you need to find a broker that supports the DAX/GER30 symbol. You can then export Tickstory's DEUIDXEUR which is the DAX. Don't forget to "map" your symbol accordingly (check out the manual or search for "map to" in the forum).

thanks ! If I set in the Metatrader Info (Export to mt4 tab), that spread is 10 ; is the spread then automatically calculated in the backtest???? In the strategy tester I also have the option to choose a spread. Is this necessary then?

could you please help me in Skype or Teamviewer ? I bought tick story and am really is a despair. The mapping does not work for me

Hi Daniel,

With regard to spread, please use the Strategy Tester's 'spread' box. The one in the Export MT4 "MT4 Settings" tab is there for back-ward compatibility purposes and is not used.

Could you please give us some screemshots so we can see where you are at? Please show:

- Your MT4 terminal including the symbol name you are trying to map to.
- Your Tickstory Export settings - in particular your "MT4 Settings" tab.
- A screenshot of the Explorer window when you go to MT4 File->Open Data Folder and then browse to tester/history.
- Any errors you are getting or the problem that makes you believe that things aren't working (are you getting 99% modelling quality?).
