Hi I am newbie and tried to connect tickstory with my ICPLATFORM when i complete the export and launch mt4 via tickstory it claims "no official support for this future and it could stop working with future version of mt4" i downloaded tickstory ver 1.6 and had put my licence key and select the right path too .awaiting for your reply .Thanks

Hi Buillnbearthailand, this is not an error. It is just a notification. Once you press "OK" everything operates as usual.

i tried many times it does not test .I mean the test does not start .Please inform how to fix this .

Hi - Can you please screenshot what error you are getting. Have you:

1) Exported your data to MT4.
2) Pressed F8 to launch Tickstory
3) Pressed the Strategy Tester "Start" button and viewed your results?

At which stage is it failing and what error are you getting? As mentioned on another thread, the following messages are not errors but informational messages:

- "No official support for this future and it could stop working with future version of mt4"
- TestGenerator: actual tick file "C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader 4 IC Markets\tester\history\EURUSD15_0.fxt" found

Check your Strategy Tester report - what modelling quality percentage are you getting?

it is not testing so no modelling quality .first the test should start and it freezes my pc as i have not opened any other sites or prograames so that it does not harm other things .Could you please advise me by retunr so can proceed with the bug

Hi - can you please make sure "Use dates" and "visual mode" are unchecked and try again? Are you getting any errors in your Journal tab?

Ok i got 99.9% quality but it took a while like 5 minutes to start the test why is that could you please advise me ? thanks

That's great to hear. If there is a lot of data to process and/or your computer is slow. this could happen. Most importantly you are getting the results you need.

Ok now another problem i found that when i use my developed ea i test on other platform did not fact the problem like peperstone and on IC market but the quality model for 1 M is 25% when i test same ea with ic with tickstory it claims not enough money as 1 lot requires 500usd and i ad even change the capital to 100000 usd still claim says on 10000 or 100,000 USd .with tick story "not enough money " what could be the cause for this issue and how to fix it .and do i need to download everytime tick story if i have logged out from mt4 or just downloaded once then i can start by just opening ic market or everytime i need to open Mt4 Ic market from tick story each time i run the test .Thanks

Hi Buillnbearthailand,

Unfortunately we don't provide support for EAs. You can refer to the MT4 forums for trouble-shooting "not enough money" errors.
You only need to export the data once from Tickstory for any specific time period.
