I suggest you check out the chart for the period you’re suspecting of missing data. We have checked late 2008 to early 2009 for USDJPY and the data exists.
Secondly, once you have exported, you should check that the MT4 history center contains data for the period you appear to be missing.
You should also be aware that there could be issues with testing greater than 4GB FXT files (although at least one other user has reported that they apparently successfully testing beyond this limit). If the data exists in the MT4 History Center, your best bet is to export the period that is causing the problem and see if everything works as you expect.
