Hi Tradexfol,
We currently do not support Metatrader builds 483 and 500, so please use an older build.
Please let us know which Tickstory version you are using as well as the last Metatrader version that the launch function worked for. Once we have this information we can help you further.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I have the same problem.
It did work last week with build 500 but this week I get the message…
Could you roll back whatever change you did this week or could you create a link with the last MT4 build that works?Thank you,
DanHi Dan,
Please follow this thread which will be updated shortly with the link to a suitable Mt4 build:

Thanks for the feedback, Dan.
FYI, a version of MT4 Build 432 can be downloaded here:

Same message for me, to my surprise.
I’ve been using Tickstory 0.9.1 for several weeks with Build 509. Today I installed the OS: Win XP SP3 and I got the same message as the members above.
I never saw this message before.
I did everything: NET Framework 3.5, upgraded NET Framework 2.0 SP1 to NET Framework 2.0 SP2 same as I did for the first run. Tried 0.9.1 and 0.9.2.
I give up. Any advice please?
Hi ExperiencedTester,
Please make sure that the star in the top-right hand-side of the application is gold. If it is not, then it means that it has not recognised your ‘Like’ and you should click on it again (it may be that the login expires after some time which causes this issue).
Please let us know how you go.
Thanks.
Yes, it was the Like thing. Thank you.
Great to hear you solved it! Thanks.
Hello all,
I’m new to this so bear with me.
I have been having problems also launching MT4 through the Tickstory application. I get the error message: “A suitable launcher could not be found…” The broker I’m using is FXCM using version 509. I’ve read through this discussion and tried various things. When I tried an older version of terminal.exe as suggested in the discussion my platform would not run. On the platform in the lower right hand corner it said “Old Version.” Any suggestions on getting MT4 to launch with version 509?
Hi Harvdog42,
You didn’t mention whether you had clicked the ‘Like’ button in the top-right of the application? This will activate the launcher. Make sure you check the ‘Keep me logged in’ check-box when logging into Facebook.
You will need to restart the application the first time after pressing ‘Like’.Thanks.
OK Tickstory,
Thanks for the prompt response. I finally got the MT4 platform to launch through the Tickstory application. I’m not sure what I did differently but success is success. Now for another question. When selecting timeframe data to export, is it necessary or even desirable to select all timeframes? The first time I exported data to my MT4 platform I did select all timeframes going back two years. But the M1 data going back two years did not show up in my history data on my MT4 platform. I’m now just exporting M1 data to my platform in hopes of filling up the M1 history data on my platform. Then I could use the period converter script to generate history for other timeframes. I hope you can shed some light on this subject which would be greatly appreciated.
Harvdog42 here again,
I just got done exporting what I thought would be two years on data for M1. But the data still does not show up in my history center. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Hi Harvdog42,
Please check this thread out to see how you might need to map your symbol to whatever your MT4 platform is using:
If this isn’t your case, then appreciate if you can start a new thread to detail the issue you are having.
Thanks.
