    Hi Hir0406,

    If you are getting anything but 99.9% modelling quality it means that you are not using Tickstory data. Check that:

    – You are launching MT4 via Tickstory with the “Launch MT4” option. Not doing this will cause problems.
    – You are exporting to the correct MT4 ‘Server’ name. For example, if you have a “Demo” and “Real” account, make sure you are exporting to the same one you are using for back-testing, otherwise the data will not be visible to MT4.

    Can you please go to File->About in Metatrader 4 and let us know the Build number you are using?

    Hi Hir0406 – The Tickstory launcher has been successfully tested on this version. I would suggest that you try to press Launch MT4/F8 once MT4 is started – there may be some sort of a lag during the launch that could be causing the issue.

    hello,
    i strated mt4 and then clicked on launch mt4 but still it gives same problem

    Hi Hir0406,

    If you have the opportunity to try this on another PC that would be helpful. You may also want to try running Tickstory as ‘Admin’ in case there is a permission issue. We haven’t had any reports of the launcher not working on the Build you mention. If this is still not working, you may need to look into Birt’s Launcher.     Hi Hir0406,

    Still not what you’re looking for. If you haven’t got 99.9% quality showing, a step has been missed somewhere. Are you saying that the launcher is now working for you? If so, the next step is to make sure you have exported data to the correct location.

    When you click first time on launcher it gives some message ” this can stop some functions on mt4″ and when you click OK on that pop up message bar after that it launch mt4

    Hi Hir0406 – have you consulted the manual to get up and running? This video also goes through the high-level steps to get going:

    When you launch MT4 it initially should have a title bar saying “Metatrader with Tickstory Launcher”.
    To check that you have written your files to the correct place, go to MT4 and select File->Open Data folder and then browse into the tester/history folder. You should then see a range of .FXT files written which should be large, read-only and have the current date on them (of when you exported them).

    hello,
    1}i have installed new mt4 from tickmill. then i created a demo account and closed that mt4.
    2} then i intalled tickstory software.
    3}i clicked on setting tab and then did mt4 setting and directed that to tickmill folder.
    4}i clicked on eurusd and then selected to export data so it started downloading and then it showed completed.
    5}i clicked on launch mt4 so it gave me one tab pop-up which i have attached.
    6}then i chked data folder and it showed eurusd data in proper folder that was C:UsersAdminAppDataRoamingMetaQuotesTerminalAA74F1C965A1F9B0CF3003A74405A8F7historyTickmill-DemoUK

    7}then i did test .
    so now it show full bar green but it dosent say 99.9% infact it say NA
    even i have attached that pic also.

    but when i close mt4 and again start from launcher then it show 99.9%

    Hi Hir0406,

    Thanks for the further detail – it is always helpful to us when describing the problem. From what I can see the ‘n/a’ modelling quality seems to be still using the correct data. The green bar and the number of ticks modelled is a good indication that you’ve got tick-quality data. Regardless, it appears that you are also now getting 99.99% quality which is what you’re after.
