Hi,
There is no reply at all.
Did I use the wrong forum?KR
RalfHi Ralf,
Answers below..
I downloaded from Dukascopy the data from January till June, exported to MT4 … fine.
Now I want to extend the data including July.At the moment you need to regenerate your entire export again. A future version is planned which will allow you to extend the existing MT4 export.
And in conjunction to that, some minor questions/proposals regarding exporting to MT4:
Is there a way to enter a default-timezone?
Isn’t the timezone related to the broker? So why not adding the default-timezone to the broker-settings?
And for those who have several brokers, a drop-down-box would be fineI imagine all users should know what time-zone their broker is in and can select it from the drop-down list. If we maintain our own list we will need to keep it updated with any changes that the broker may make.
I am using several symbols – all with the same test-period. When downloading I have to enter
each time “from” and “to”. Why not leave this dates to the last input?
Those who have different dates, have to change it anyway. But those who have the same date would appreciate it.Saving common settings is on the ‘todo’ list.
Kind regards.
Hi Tickstory,
thanks for the answer.
Regarding the timezone there is a misunderstanding:
Ofcourse you should not keep a list of all brokers within TS.
You should only memorize the previous user-inputs.When exporting data to MT I have to give a path for the MT4-installation (=Broker).
Correct me if I am wrong, but then the timezone is related to that.
So my idea is, to add a field (lets say “Broker-timezone”) to the MT4-settings, and to
use this timezone as a default when exporting data. And regarding the dropdown-list …. let’s make it the other way round and let me ask,
what users with more than one broker have to do right now:
When exporting to the second broker, then select a new path for installation and server (and timezone)?
And when exporting to the first broker, reselect the previously already given path again?
Is it this way?KR

Is it this way?Correct – if you have more than one broker, currently you will need to select the path for each broker before doing the export.
