I got confuse since the manual shows “testerfiles” for the FXT files and I did not notice that tickstory was creating the FXT under “testerhistory”.
So far so good except the fact that I keep getting an error for MT4; TestGenerator: Internal error because not file opened.I tried to search on the forum but I did not find an answer. Is a problem related to MT4 ?
Sorry for the many questions
Hi Damn_testing,
Ensure you have launched MT4 via Tickstory. This post may assist you further:

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately I tried to run MT4 from Tickstory, but it seems that it cannot start build 509.

Hi damn_testing,
Could you please refer to this post to see if it assist you:
Thanks.
I finally downloaded from the from the build 432 and everything is fine. Thank you for the help.
I am wondering if is possible to keep a post open on the forum with the link as future reference. I feel sorry to ask for things already answered.
Also I tried a search for the model quality of MT4 that says “N/A”. I could not find any result.
Could anybody help me to understand what it means ?
Not much is understood the question.
If the download data is correct, the next star of “likes” is golden, and spears you export data from the launcher MT4 quality modeling TickStory = 99.90%.
Where is your problem?Hi damn_testing,
If you are getting an N/A as the back-testing result it means you have not correctly launched your Metatrader via the Tickstory launcher by pressing F8.
If you are having difficulties getting started, I would highly recommend watching the ‘Getting Started’ video which you can find here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-rMOen4UHg
If you are having specific issues, a search of the forum with the specific error message can usually yield the result you’re after (or have a browse of the ‘Issue/bug tracking’ section of the forum.
Hope this helps!
Hey damn_testing
The FXT files located in tester/history must be Read-only.
Right-click on an FXT file and check its Attributes. If they are not Read-only, delete them and you will have to download them again. I also delete the HST files, although Tickstory says it will overwrite them.
And immediately after downloading, without starting the MT4, check again the FXT files’ Attributes. If they are not Read-only, you make them Read-only. Check the tickbox, then Apply and Ok.
Then you can backtest. Good luck. -
