Importing non Dukascopy data

Hi TickStory team,

I am interested into TickStory but before buying it I have a few questions. feel free to redirect me to the right place if needs be.

I would like to get the better modelisation possible on my MT4 backtests BUT using my own broker data. I can get tick or bars data from my datasource and I need to use this ones, and not the Dukascopy one.

So does TickStory allows to import tick or bar data from our own source. By importing a txt file for exemple. If yes, how can we do it? What is the format?

Many thanks and regards!

Hi AlgoNaute,

Thanks for your suggestion. We're planning this feature in the next major upgrade to Tickstory which should allow text-based files to be imported/exported.
In the mean-time, if you're wanting to import only bar data into MT4, you can do this via the "Import" function within Metatrader's History Center.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer.

So I understand I will have to play with imported data for the time being.

Would someone know the process to do this cleanly on the new version of MT4.

How to be able to import our data without having MT4 overriding it?
How can we get H1 (or other) data from our M1 imported data?

I know it is not something to do with TickStory, but if someone has an updated link, it would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, looking forward the new version of Tickstory...

Many thanks!
