Hello,

i have windows 7 64 Bit
Metatrader build 670
Remote Server
tickstory 1.5.10

i tried different Borker's MT4 setups, (AAAFX,ActiveTrades,Ajax).

The strange thing is i did exact the same installation and download like in my first desktop computer and all worked fine.
Now i have the launcher cant find problem, regardless what broker i select. Even AAAFX doesnt work (which should).
Only Difference is my commodo firewall, but i already allowed Tcikstory and MT4 as trusted permanent.

I dont have facebook, and my star is grey, just for info.
(in my first pc it worked without facebook, and grey star)
Info, when i try to click on the star nothing happens.

any ideas what could cause this bug, what could i exlude as error source?
or workaround?

Hi Agora,

If you are having issues clicking on the star, don't fret too much - the latest version of the application works the same with or without having a gold star.

but could you think of another error source which causes the launcher to fail permanently ?
(i mean i tried different broker , which work on another pc)

Could you please detail what error message you are getting? The launcher should not be tied down to a particular broker. The only thing that is relevant is the MT4 Build.

I installed the same setup (Tickstory 1.5.1 + AAAFX Mt4 build 670)
on a new XP SP3 installation and was facing the same launcher Problems.

After brute force try and error of 1 hour XD
i found the soloution.

I was trapped in a thought circle.
I always linked to the user datafolder (C:\users....\Terminal\Metaquotes\ and so on)
in the field where Tickstory requested MT4 Installation path and Mt4 Data path.
I thought it was correct because i work as user with limited rights (for security reasons).

So the soloution is :
under the field where Tickstory asks for Mt4 Installation the user must linkt to the mt4 installtion path
under Windows 7 it looks like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MetaTrader - AAAFx

and the mt4 Datafolder must link to the folder of the actual users mt4 folder looks like this (windows 7 64 bit german)
C:\Users\Internet\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\3BD2B5E5A5264AFE17C1E2DDC7D6B381

I am having the same problem that you did but when I try your solution I get a message stating that the MT4 directory is not valid. I have been trying to find a solution for ages, but I just can't get it to work! Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?
