Multiple terminals but one "master" data folder

The great thing about the Advanced Tester is that it allows you to test your strategies across different portable MT4 terminals with 99% modeling quality

My only issue is that each MT4 installation has its own "data" folder, and I can't seem to set a "master data" folder.

For example, I have my data on Axi Terminal 1, what I'm trying to do is to make Axi Terminal 2's data set to Terminal 1's data folder, so I don't have to export twice:

But unfortunately, this does not work.

Can we add this feature where we can have a "master data" folder across opening multiple MT4 terminals?

If not, then my only workaround is to manually keep on changing the export location on the main Tickstory software

I hope the developers can see this and give some insight.

Hi Jet_Toyco,

Sharing data from the same folder could cause issues with MT4's operation such as data corruption and potentially other anomalies. If you wanted to share data folders, you could try something like symbolic links, however for the mentioned reasons, we don't recommend or support this configuration.

Instead, what you could do is copy the data files from one MT4 installation to another, however you would need to copy both the FXT and HST files together to ensure the bar and tick data are synchronised (make sure you quit MT4 before doing this).

Hope this helps.
