Hi, I just bought Tickstory few days ago. I have downloaded several forex pairs. But when export to mt4 and launch mt4 from Tickstory, the back testing journal display no data for testing. My MT4 build 1421. Does TickStory only supports up to build 1420 ?
Thank you.
No data for testing
Re: No data for testing
Hi Hhsmok81,
The "No data for testing" error usually indicates that you haven't exported to the correct broker symbol as it appears in your MT4 terminal.
To make sure you have, simply do the following:
1) Select the symbol you wish to export in Tickstory (eg. EURUSD) and then "Export to MT4".
2) Set all your usual settings but also make sure that in the "MT4 Settings" tab you set the "Map to" field. The "Map to" field contains the list of symbols as they appear in your MT4 broker terminal (eg. EURUSDm).
3) Begin your export
4) Once your export is complete, press the "Launch MT4" button in Tickstory. As long as there is no error during the launch, it means you are ready to back-test.
5) Select the symbol you exported in the Strategy Tester, ensure "Modelling type" is "Tick" and that you have unchecked "Use dates" (this will ensure it tests with all available data).
5) Begin your test in MT4 Strategy Tester and the report tab should give you 99.9% modelling quality.
Hope this resolves your issue.
