Hi,
Am new to Tickstory. I recently downloaded Dukascopy tick data to a file on my HD. Is there any way I can import this into TS and convert it into MT4 data?

Hi Mike,
The easiest way to export to MT4 is by right-clicking on the instrument and selecting "Export to MT4".
You can read further in the Help file (
http://www.tickstory.com/help/tickstorylite) or by simply pressing the F1 key in the application.
Hope this helps.

HI,
Let me see if I understand this:-
If I assign a storage folder on my HD to receive Data, and I download from Dukascopy, this data only goes into the storage folder. Right?
How do I get that data from the storage folder into my MT4? Should I have clicked 'Export to MT4' instead of 'Download Data' and the data would have been sent to my MT4 instead of being stored in my data storage folder? Which brings me back to the questions above; if I already have Dukascopy data, how do I get Tickstory to get that data into my MT4, without downloading the same data again from dukascopy?

Hi Mike,
Regardless of whether you are exporting or downloading data, Tickstory will store the tick data on your local hard-drive (from the date range you have specified). When you next require the data it will simply check your hard-disk for the information. If you have not specified that symbol/date range before, it will download it from the internet.
This post goes into some detail to explain the logic:

The download logic is also explained in the user manual, so appreciate if you can take a moment to read it and let us know if there are still questions unanswered.
Hope this helps.
