Tickstory

Hey there,

I was hoping someone might be able to let me know what i am doing wrong as it has only just started happening and I can't think what I have done to cause it.

When I try to run a backtest in MT4 I have just started getting the error: TestGenerator: no history data

I have checked my history folder and the data is there, but what I have notice is that MT4 seems to be creating another history folder with no data in it when I try to run a back test. I have tried closing down MT4, deleting this new history file and the running it again but MT4 just creates a new one.

Has anyone come across this kind of thing before?

Hi Scottv,

The "_2" extension on your files indicate you are using "Open price" modelling mode for back-testing. Instead, make sure you select the 'Tick' modelling mode and the tick data you exported with Tickstory should be used.
