Tickstory

I've downloaded the MT4 history using Tickstory, then downloaded and pasted into my "Program files" the MT4 build 432 from this forum yet Tickstory wouldn't let me select that folder for the historical data export, stating it's in the wrong location (?). I then found and installed the Forex.com MT4 build 451 allegedly supported by Tickstory yet got a window saying it couldn't be opened with the existing launcher supporting build 451 (?). All the screenshots are attached below. Please, help.

Managed to get to step 4 from your installation video with the previous version of Tickstory (which I downloaded from your website having used Google cache to get the download link) but the symbols (currency pairs) with build 451 do not display in the drop-down menu of the strategy tester (see the attached screenshot) and I am still getting the message about the build 432 folder in the Program files not appearing to be the proper directory.

Regarding the MT432 that you downloaded, could you please ensure you have run it at least once before attempting to select it in Tickstory. Tickstory attempts to identify valid installations by checking for the existence of important files that are created by MT4.

Please let us know how you go and we can help you upgrade to 451 after that.

Tried what you suggested and it now works just fine - thank you so much! I assume that's what that pop-up window in bad Russian was trying to say (which I couldn't understand - thought it was like saying to make sure there's at least 1 MT4 instance in the parent folder). Not bashing your effort by any means - just offering my free help in exchange of your fantastic free tool. Обещаю сделать качественный перевод на русский.

I also figured my problem with build 451 and the symbol drop-down menu in the strategy tester - it's because of the "pro" suffixes the Forex.com symbol names have (EURUSDpro etc).

Great to hear that you've resolved the issue and got things working. Re: the Russian - apologies for this. We figure that some of the translations are a bit rough around the edges but hopefully good enough to allow people to use the software.
