Export Failed (I have read the FAQ)

I am using version 1.9.1.0 [L] and I have issues with exporting to file. I created a folder C:\tickdata in Windows Explorer then went to File->Settings and changed the store location to C:\tickdata . I exited the program and started again and it identifies the new store location and downloads tick data to it but can't export.

Export Failed: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Tickstory\XAGUSD.csv' is denied.

I can't install Tickstory to a different path to see if that will help.

I have looked at the folder permissions and the same as all normal folders in Windows.

I read https://tickstory.com/help/tickstorylit ... pathdenied so not sure what else I can try.

Thank you for the software.

Hi Nuganics,

This question in our FAQ should help:

https://tickstory.com/help/tickstorylit ... cessdenied
.

Thanks.

Thanks that did the trick. Maybe a browse button to select a output folder might help if you run out of possible feature improvements :) I didn't realise I could add to the path. Another option is make the default export path %My Documents%/TickData/

Another way to solve is run Tickstory as Administrator and it let me save in the default path.

Great software.
