I am trying to export 5 years worth of USA30 data to MT4 but I am getting an error.
I have absolutely no issue exporting up to 2 years worth but once I try 5 it will not happen
can someone please advise>

It is most likely that you are coming across a 4GB FXT limitation that MT4 has. The workaround is to break your back-tests into manageable periods of say 2 years. The FAQ also points to some other suggestions about how to mitigate the issue.
