TickstoryExpert not generating complete broker settings

Hi all,

My first post. Greetings!

I have purchased the full version of Tickstory and have been trying to generate the broker settings import file however it does not include all icons my broker provides.

I am interested in trading indices and the only index the expert exports is the AUS200. I am interested in the FTSE100, Dow and DAX. I have written a script myself to output most of the data however i fall over when i come to complete the swap enable, swap r/o and mgn divider boxes.

After running TickstoryExpert, the swap enable & swap r/o boxes are the same for all symbols so i am confident in using this as a default value. However, the mgn divider for all currency pairs is 1.0 but the AUS200 comes out at a value of 421. This is the only index in the export so should I use 421 or 1.0 as the default for FTSE, Dow and DAX. Or is there a TickstoryExpert which features further symbols?

Hi Mark,

Welcome aboard! Regarding the issue you mention, it's a little bit tricky to cater for all the various symbols in TickstoryExpert. This is not only because there are varied symbol names between brokers but also different symbol properties that aren't accessible via MQL. We are currently working on a better way of importing all this information but until then, check this thread out:

This offers a way of getting the exact settings from your MT4 broker so you can produce matching exports (i.e. matching FXT header information).
