Error generating config file (Ensure permissions granted)

Hello,
I m getting this error : 2018.09.13 21:29:52.032 TickstoryInfoExpert USDCAD,M1: Error - could not open file Mt4.International Capital Markets Pty Ltd..Server.mt4config for writing. Ensure permissions have been granted.

Do you Know if this is a bug ? I checked the FAQ, didnt really help.

It's likely that you just need to explicitly set your config filename in the EA parameters. Please check out this FAQ article for more:

Thanks but could you precise in which folder shoudl this be created ? (MQL4 or Tickstory ?)

Hi Sebfiesta,

All EAs that are run in Metatrader can only write to a designated folder that Metatrader decides.

When running an EA on a chart, this folder will be:
(In Metatrader) File->Open Data Folder then browse to MQL4/Files.

If running in the MT4 Strategy Tester, the folder will be:
(In Metatrader) File->Open Data Folder then browse to tester/files.
