Hi,

I downloaded the latest lite version from your site, but when i run tickstory, it says a newer version available-

I have v1.5.3.0 of tickstory lite installed

why does it say a newer version is available when i installed the one from your site just today?

Hi Kumar,

Basically the software is reporting the latest paid version that is available which is 1.7.4. We've got this issue on our list of things to address when we update the free version.

This error has been fixed, however it currently only available in the latest 'Standard' version. We plan to bundle a release fix for the Lite version soon.

I have a member who is trying to install tickstory - when they try and run the exe file, he gets this error:

so are you saying all Lite users will experience this? I can install Tickstory lite and use it fine- so why do some people (like my member) experience this issue? Is the current Lite version you have up on the site not working for new users anymore then until you update it? If so, when will this new Lite version be available?

Hi TraderKK,

This error appears to only occur on specific installations - not all. One of the benefits of the licensed version is that we provide updates & fixes much earlier than the free version. We unfortunately can't give you an exact time-frame for the free version update, but hope it will be in the coming weeks. As always, we do encourage users to move to the licensed version when possible as it assists us with the on-going development of Tickstory.

As an update to this issue, please make sure that your File->Settings->Dukascopy Datasource does not have "Use proxy" enabled unless you indeed have a web proxy fully configured in the subsequent setup fields.
