MT5 data for 1st Jan exists?

Post by abbasakh »

Hi
I am exporting multiple symbols from 1/1/2008 till 30/6/2020,1 min Bar for MT5. I have noticed that most of the symbols contains data for 1st Jan for multiple years. isn't this supposed to be public holiday and no data should be available? how to avoid this?

Regards

Hi Abbasakh,

Tickstory exports all data if it is available for that day. If there is trading data for Jan 1st, the first question I would ask if the trading was from the previous or next trading day due to time-shifts. You can double-check my showing that day/symbol in Tickstory's data viewer and this will show you the raw GMT-time trading day.

Thanks.

Hi,

There is a time-zone called 'New York Trading Time' at the top of the time-zone combo for NY session.

Thanks.
