Dear all,
Is there way to change the transition dates of the daylight saving?
The Transition Starts has a fixed value of 1st March and the Transition Ends 1st October.
In Western Europe the Transition Dates are variabel. e.G. This year ist the Sunday 27th March and 30th of October.

I'm using Tickstory Light 1.5.3.0

Hi Sebastian,

The information about DST is taken from Windows which should include all the relevant time-transitions and changes if there are any. You can click on the 'i' button near the time-zone selection box to view all the DST transitions for the currently selected timezone.

I've recently come across this problem too. My broker is IC Markets and they run the same server time the OP"S. UTC+2 adjusted for London Daylight savings. Their transition is also end of March to end of October not beginning to beginning as set-up automatically inside tickstory. This is critical in my EA as TimeHour(TimeCurrent()) is the only filter I use. Being out by one hour will destroy my balance. I can't reference TimeGMT() inside my bot as the logic is dependent on trading session start/end times.

The above reply does not resolve the issue. Is there plans to be able to manually input DST transitions in future updates? Or could the better solution be to reference TimeGMT() inside my EA instead of TimeCurrent() then adjust internally for daylight savings.

We've run our timezone converter through the "(UTC +2:00) UTC +2 With European/London DST" timezone and below are all the transitions from 2000-2029:

In 2000, DST started on March 26 and ended on October 29.
In 2001, DST started on March 25 and ended on October 28.
In 2002, DST started on March 31 and ended on October 27.
In 2003, DST started on March 30 and ended on October 26.
In 2004, DST started on March 28 and ended on October 31.
In 2005, DST started on March 27 and ended on October 30.
In 2006, DST started on March 26 and ended on October 29.
In 2007, DST started on March 25 and ended on October 28.
In 2008, DST started on March 30 and ended on October 26.
In 2009, DST started on March 29 and ended on October 25.
In 2010, DST started on March 28 and ended on October 31.
In 2011, DST started on March 27 and ended on October 30.
In 2012, DST started on March 25 and ended on October 28.
In 2013, DST started on March 31 and ended on October 27.
In 2014, DST started on March 30 and ended on October 26.
In 2015, DST started on March 29 and ended on October 25.
In 2016, DST started on March 27 and ended on October 30.
In 2017, DST started on March 26 and ended on October 29.

do you mean even I am seeing only one line of transitions from 1/Mar to 1/Oct the software is considering internally the correct DTS parameters?

That's correct - this is just a generic display rule that describes the transition. The rule is much more complex to describe in a single line. How it is actually applied for each year is shown above.
