Hi Team,

I can also confirm the above is happening in Build 940, Modelling Quality changes to n/a, rather annoying. Just thought I'd let you know!

Regards,

Frank

Hi Vitali - thanks, we're aware of this.

IonForex, have you followed the instructions for stopping automatic updates described here: http://tickstory.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... =876#p4062.

Thanks.

We are all waiting for a fix. One cannot tell for sure when build 940 will settle down so a fix can be released.. will it be one day, one week, one month, one year? It is hard to tell. If the TickStory developers can release an alpha or beta version to paid subscribers at least we can test it and it will get us over the hum until the official 940 fix will be released. Please consider this solution. We are all waiting..

Sorry to say but I am using Tick Data Suite until a new TickStory build for 940+ is available. Tick Data Suite works with 940 already from the first day 940 was introduced. Maybe this info will be of use to other TickStory users who want to continue their backtesting until the next release is available..

Lenny, that is fine if you use TDS for MT4 Build 940, in fact, due to the bugs in Build 940 this is the only option. For those who are not aware, Build 940 still has a back-testing bug where spread is always zero. This means that even if we decide to provide launcher support Build 940, you will still not able to back-test with this version using fixed spread. The only option available if you want to use Build 940 is to export real-spread and use Birt's TDS (http://tickstory.com/product/birts-tick-data-suite/).

Unfortunately there is lots of noise at the moment that is directly caused by the latest MT4 updates (i.e. Builds 920+). These issues are not Tickstory bugs and are unfortunately beyond our control to fix. By holding back on launcher support for Build 940, we are working in the best interest of our users to ensure you can continue back-testing accurately. If you value moving forward with your back-testing, our advice remains the same - revert to Build 910 until further notice. If you wish to (for some reason) update to the latest MT4 versions, we will not be able to assist you if you are having difficulties. We suggest you report your issues to Metaquotes so they can address them for their next update: http://forum.mql4.com/70645.

Thanks.

problem with release 1.7.3 and MT4 build 940

i first time to use tickstory, but the Modelling Quality is always "n/a", why??

i don't know what happened, anyone knows that?

is it the problem to wrong data folder ? or other problem ?

if change to use Birt’s Tick Data Suite, will it also have the problem ?

I can confirm that using the latest Tick Data Suite 1.4.3 works with build 940. You can take a free 30 day trial. Hopefully that will be enough time.
