DAX data: future or index?

Is the data downloaded by Tickstory for the DEUIDXEUR symbol supposed to reflect the value of the DAX index or the value of the FDAX1 (front month DAX future)?

As I understand it's tracking the DAX Index. You can consult the Dukascopy website for more detailed information.
