Tickstory to convert nonDuk csv to fxt/hst

Post by jeff »

Hi, I have collected my own tick data from my broker in the same format as Dukascopy CSV tick data. Is it possible to use Tickstory to convert my broker-specific tick data into FXT and HST files using Tickstory? Thank you.

Jeff

I am also interested in making sub-M1 HST files, if that is possible on the new build? Perhaps with TDS? Thanks.

By the way, where does mt4 store the existing HST file that is used for a live chart? For example, if I have a live account with a M5 chart open and I look through the available data folders, I do not see a M5 HST file with a recent modified date. Where is the actual file? I ask I want to backup and import that HST file to a new account. Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

Under the <MT4 Data Folder>\history folder, you should see a number of directories which correspond to the server connections that the broker has (eg. FXCM Demo). This is where the HST files are stored for the currently connected server.

Regards.
