Standard Vs Professional Download Speed

According to your website, Personal Edition has Optimized multiple threads with active subscription while the Professional Edition has Optimized Multi-threaded, Unlimited downloads. Does it mean that if the subscription to Professional Edition has expired, the download speed will remain the same?

Hi Cyberpyro,

There are two main elements to the download speed metrics - one is the servers used to download the data and the other is the number of threads that are used to process data. In the case of the former, you need to have an active subscription to have access to our dedicated data servers. Accessing our own data servers can increase download throughput by up to 3 times (depending on load, internet connection, etc). In the case of data processing, the Professional versions' processing of data continues to utilize multi-threads even after your subscription expires. The Standard version will require you have an active subscription to continue to benefit from maximal threads.

I just subscribed to Pro version and started download XAUUSD from Dukascopy; and find
that the speed is so much slower than I used the LITE version.

May I know how to access the quicker Tickstory server to improve the download speed ?

Hi Ckchang,

Please make sure of the following:

- That you have downloaded the registered version of the app from the link that was emailed to you when you purchased and that you have applied your license successfully.
- That your license and subscription information is correct in the Help->About box.
- That your internet connection is not being highly utilized by other apps and/or making sure you have a good download bandwidth.

Also note that the subscription version of the software downloads a month of data in bulk (as opposed to hourly) and therefore the status information is updated less. This might give the impression that it is doing less, however the entire month download will occur in a fraction of the time it takes to download versus the Lite version.
