NAS100 Historical Data (1MIN TF)

Post by Keldrilh »

Hello,

I have just downloaded Historical Data (1MIN TF) for the last 120 days for NAS100.

When I upload them to MT4 a huge Gap appears between the last candle of Tickstory and the first candle of the broker I'm using.

I have tried with 2 different brokers and the result is the same.

Please see sceenshot attached.

It looks like each Tickstory candle has something like 90 Nasdaq points less than those of the brokers that I'm using.
My brokers are IC Markets and Vantage.

Why is that? Why Tickstory data are so different? What's the source for Tickstory data?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi Keldrilh,

The data for USATECH.IDX is sourced from Dukascopy. They are trading CFD for these indices which are traded on their own exchange and therefore there will be price differences between exchanges. Assuming you have converted the time-zone of the data, there is a daily break in the trading session from 20:15-22:00 UTC has indicated on this page.

If you would like to make sure MT4 has not not displaying certain data, you can look at the data in Tickstory's Data Inspector (Tools->Data Inspector) to view the raw tick/bar data that is available.

Hope this helps.
