Tickstory

Hi,

A common problem I'm sure. I'm using the FBS version of MT5. Downloaded tickdata for XAUUSD for the last 5 years, created the custom symbol and imported the tick data in. MT5 seemed to use the data for the first backtest but then for subsequent tests in the Journal it seems to be going up to FBS to get the data!

Why would this be? I'm pretty confident the dates I set for the test are in the range of the tickdata I downloaded. Anything else it could be?

Hi Glaxo12,

Usually if you have selected the custom symbol you created in the back-test, it should only use the data available for that symbol.
You might want to check that you have selected the correct custom symbol as a first call as we can't think of any reasons for the problem with the information given.
