How to Run backtest when using Fxt file when Axitrader has a different Symbol Code

Post by Keithreport »

Good day,

I tried to run backtest while logging into Axitrader at my MT4. The symbol for Brent Oil Futures in Axitrader is Brent.Fs
However, Tickstory does not provide exactly that symbol name. So I am wondering there is a way to "Map" the symbol to the FXT file during backtesting.

Any Other way to overcome this is appreciated.

Regards
Keith

Hi Keith,

There is indeed a "Map" field called "Map to" ;) Please check out our manual on how you can set this properly easily when you export (you can also search this forum for "Map to" if you have any specific questions concerning your symbol or broker).

The premise is that when exporting, you must set the "Map to" field in Tickstory to the same as your MT4 broker.

Hope this helps.
