How to generate monthly historical data in fxt format?
Аor example: EURUSD43200_0.fxt
Monthly FXT export
Re: Monthly FXT export
Hello,
The Metatrader 4 Strategy Tester does not allow you to test time-frames greater than "Daily", so this is not possible.
Regards.

Re: Monthly FXT export
Does not allow. But you generate a weekly fxt. Similarly, it would be useful to have a monthly fxt.
I will explain why this is necessary. When for example you need to find the maximums of the month: iHighest (..., PERIOD_MN1 ...), we will not get anything, because there is no history of monthly ticks.
Can you add "MN1" “check box” to the TickStory for Month?
Thank you

Re: Monthly FXT export
Hi,
The functions iHighest() etc should work for every time-frame including monthly. All standard MQL functionality should be fully available from a Tickstory generated export. The functions you mention do not depend on the FXT being available. The data is sourced from the HST files that Tickstory already generates automatically for all time-frames including monthly.
I suggest you give it a go and there should be no issue. You may also want to have a read of our MT4 Primer which goes into the MT4 database structure in more detail:

Thanks.
