Problem exporting file to Metatrader 5 (MT5)

Hi, when I want to export the file to MT5, I follow all the steps in the user manual, I get to download the file but it's in excel format, not CVS, so my platform is not able to import it. What am I doing wrong? I attach an image if it helps. Thanks

Hi Mariano,

The reason why Excel is starting up is because it is associated with .csv files. You can open the file up in a text editor (that handles large files) to see that it is a CSV.

I've opened it with a text editor and this is what I see (image attached). But my platform is not able to read it.

How can I import it to MT5?

Hi Mariano,

It looks like you are trying to import symbol settings (note the *.json file specification) instead of importing tick/bar data (*.csv). Please check out our guide here which describes the import process in detail, including a video:
